Microsoft 365 Copilot Connector Framework — Synced Connectors VS Federated Connectors
In this architecture diagram below 👇, I have outlined Internal workings of two types of connectors — Synced and Federated used with Copilot and Copilot Studio.
Overview: Synced Connectors ingests content into Microsoft Graph where the data semantically indexed and made available to Copilot. Federated Connectors surface Dynamic data or regulated content that must remain in source.

Copilot Studio Agent Solution — Power Platform Architecture
In this architecture diagram below 👇, I have outlined a typical packaging structure of a Copilot studio agent in PP environment.
Overview: Building Agents as a part of a solution within a dedicated “AI enabled” Power Platform environment (where all DLP policies, connector policies, tailored features etc. are configured) is the correct way of developing, packaging and deploying agents in an enterprise.
