Focus on presenting a clear session idea and explaining what attendees will learn or take away from your presentation.
No, you don’t need to be a Microsoft MVP to speak at ESPC. We welcome submissions from Microsoft MVPs, Regional Directors, community leaders, IT professionals, developers, consultants, architects, business leaders and anyone with relevant Microsoft 365 or AI expertise. What matters most is the value your session can offer our audience.
Yes. All ESPC speakers are required to attend the conference in person to deliver their sessions.
Submitting Your Speaker Proposal
You’ll need to provide details about your proposed session, including a title, description, intended audience and the key benefits or takeaways for attendees. You may also be asked to share information about your experience and expertise. Be creative with your session title and description, but make sure they clearly explain what your session will cover and why attendees should join.
When the ESPC Call for Speakers is open, simply click the Submit Your Speaker Proposal button on this page and complete the application form. Provide the requested information about yourself and your proposed session, making sure your description clearly explains the topic, audience and key learning outcomes.
A strong speaker proposal clearly explains what your session is about, who it’s for and what attendees will learn. Be specific about the challenges, experiences or ideas you want to share. Practical examples, technical demonstrations and real-world case studies can help demonstrate the value of your session. Your title should catch people’s attention while accurately reflecting the content you’ll deliver.
You can submit separate proposals for different session ideas, subject to the submission platform’s requirements. Make sure each proposal includes a clear title, description, intended audience and learning outcomes.
We welcome proposals across the Microsoft 365, AI and wider Microsoft technology ecosystem, including:
– Microsoft 365 & Collaboration: Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Viva Engage and collaboration solutions.
– Copilot & AI: Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, AI innovation and practical AI use cases.
– Power Platform: Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and business process automation.
– Microsoft Azure: Cloud technologies, architecture and integration with Microsoft 365.
– Security & Governance: Security, compliance, governance and best practices across Microsoft technologies.
– Real-World Solutions: Customer stories, adoption strategies, technical deep dives and lessons learned from Microsoft projects.
Sessions should offer practical value to attendees, whether they’re IT pros, developers, makers, consultants, business leaders or end users. We welcome content across experience levels 100–400, from introductory sessions to advanced technical deep dives. Case studies are particularly well received, and sessions should focus on learning rather than product promotion.
Session Requirements
ESPC conference sessions are 60 minutes long, including time for questions and answers. Session lengths are subject to change. Please plan your presentation to fit within the allocated time, including any demonstrations or audience questions, so the next speaker has sufficient time to prepare.
No. ESPC sessions must be educational rather than promotional. Sales pitches, marketing presentations and sessions primarily focused on promoting a company, product or service are not permitted. If your organisation is interested in showcasing its products or services, please explore our sponsorship opportunities instead.
Yes, speakers should bring their own laptop to deliver their session. We’ll provide detailed information about presentation equipment, connections and technical requirements ahead of the conference, as these can vary depending on the venue.
Next Steps
Speaker compensation is available to eligible community speakers and does not apply to Microsoft employees or sponsor speakers. Eligible community speakers receive a speaker fee, a complimentary conference pass, access to speaker networking events and accommodation. Compensation and accommodation arrangements vary depending on session type and speaker eligibility.
Successful speakers will receive further information from the ESPC team about preparing for the conference, including speaker requirements, important next steps and anything you need to provide ahead of your session. We also ask speakers to help promote their participation in the conference. We’ll provide personalised graphics and promotional codes that speakers can share with their networks.
Content created as part of ESPC may be shared or reused after the conference. This can include session content, audio recordings or transcripts, as well as photography and video captured during the event. As an ESPC speaker, you may be photographed, filmed or recorded during the conference, and this material may be used in future ESPC content and promotional materials.
