ABOUT THE SESSION
AI can scaffold a frontend in seconds — but the backend is where prototypes stall. Data, identity, access policies, APIs, and the governance your enterprise actually requires still take weeks to stitch together. Rayfin, Microsoft’s open-source SDK and CLI introduced at Build 2026, closes that gap: define your entire backend in code and deploy it straight to Microsoft Fabric, where it runs as a first-class, governed artifact with its data already sitting in OneLake.
In this session we go from empty folder to a live, production-ready app on Fabric — on stage, in real time. You’ll see the full Rayfin workflow plus everything that’s shipped since Build: RBAC for fine-grained access control, Functions for serverless business logic, Storage for files and blobs, and Realtime for live data and subscriptions. We’ll wire up auth, land the data in OneLake, query it instantly from Power BI and a notebook, and let GitHub Copilot extend the app as we build. You’ll leave knowing exactly how to take an AI-generated app from prompt to governed production — in hours, not months.
