ABOUT THE SESSION
After years of relying on community-developed solutions, Microsoft’s Unified Tenant Configuration Management (UTCM) delivers the official configuration-as-code capability administrators have been waiting for. This new set of Graph APIs serves as the official successor to the Microsoft 365 DSC project, providing a declarative, cloud-native interface to manage configuration across Microsoft 365 workloads including Exchange Online, Entra ID, Intune, Purview, Teams, and Defender. Capture baseline configurations as JSON snapshots, create monitors to detect when settings drift from your desired state, and identify unauthorized or accidental changes across multiple admin centers from a single API. This session demonstrates practical implementations of baseline snapshots and drift monitoring to help you maintain consistent security and compliance postures across your tenant.
Assumed Knowledge:
General Microsoft 365 administration
Practical Takeaways:
Learn how to manage Microsoft 365 in a declarative way (desired state), without having to know the exact steps to get there.
