Claire Fitzroy is a senior official with over 20 years’ experience delivering UK government priorities across some of the world’s most complex environments. Having led major development programmes across the Middle East and Africa, she brings deep expertise in operating at pace, in crisis, and at scale.
In 2023–24, Claire led the establishment of the British Office Sudan—demonstrating exceptional leadership in high-pressure, high-stakes conditions.

Now a Service Owner in FCDO’s Digital, Technology and Services directorate, Claire is driving the organisation’s shift from traditional delivery to digital innovation. She has spearheaded the adoption of the Power Platform across the FCDO, championing both maker-led and enterprise solutions. Under her leadership, a global Centre of Excellence has been established, alongside a growing portfolio of impactful products used by teams around the world.
