ABOUT THE SESSION
What if I told you that you can start putting AI to work on your content in Microsoft 365 without a fixed extra monthly license? With the Document Processing part of the SharePoint AI features, you can bring intelligence directly to your files by classifying, extracting, enriching, and transforming information at scale.
In this session, we’ll walk through practical AI features you can start using right away-like Autofill columns to reduce manual metadata entry, OCR to make images and PDFs searchable, automatic image tagging for better discovery, and even built-in document translation to break language barriers. We’ll also explore other hidden gems that can help you manage, organize, and unlock value from your content.
By the end of this session, you’ll see how document processing in Microsoft 365 can improve your content, enhance user experiences, and even strengthen your Copilot rollout.
Assumed Knowledge:
You should be comfortable working with SharePoint Online document libraries, including uploading files, creating columns, and managing basic library settings. No prior experience with AI features or Copilot is required.
Practical Takeaways:
Know which document processing features are available today and how to enable them in your libraries. Understand how autofill columns, taxonomy tagging, OCR, and image tagging work together to reduce manual effort and improve content discoverability. See how enriched metadata directly improves Copilot and agent result quality.
Out of Session Scope:
We will NOT cover SharePoint administration, tenant configuration, SharePoint Advanced Management, custom AI model training, Power Automate integrations, or Copilot Studio development. This session focuses on the built-in document processing features available in SharePoint libraries.
