ABOUT THE SESSION
AI is accelerating how organizations create, connect, and retain data – and as agents multiply across your enterprise, governance can’t be an afterthought. This session gives architects and admins a complete framework for staying ahead: from access control and agent identity to data lifecycle management and compliance at scale.
We start at the access layer – how Work IQ, Dataverse, and the governance experiences in Microsoft Admin Center and Power Platform give you visibility and control over agent access, RBAC enforcement, and data lineage across intelligent workflows. We go beyond the basics: when to configure on-behalf-of security versus agent-owned identity, how to prevent AI-driven data footprint explosion from indexing and tracking, and how Work IQ MCP Servers and the Dataverse MCP Server interact with your security model.
We then zoom out to the data lifecycle, exploring how Dataverse is evolving governance from manual oversight to a policy-driven, increasingly self-sustaining model. Through real-world scenarios, we examine storage visibility, compliance challenges, and safe data cleanup – and show how AI-assisted admin insights, policy-based lifecycle management, and agent-backed administration shift governance from reactive cleanup to continuous, governed operations, while remaining observable, auditable, and under admin control.
