Shivanand builds products and systems that operate at Hyperscaler scale. He is a product leader, builder, and engineer based in Vancouver, British Columbia, currently leading schema management and semantic event discovery for real-time intelligence in Microsoft Fabric.

At AWS, he grew Amazon SNS A2P by 7x in four years, a messaging business that served billions of people across 180 countries. In his final year, he led product management for SNS and SQS $XXXM ARR business, owning the full suite for serverless messaging. At AWS, he oversaw 20+ launches, grew funnel management from scratch, and led multiple large customer wins.

Before moving into product, he spent 15+ years as an engineer and architect. At Ericsson, he designed and built two languages and their compilers, and an in-memory database powering a carrier-class router OS used globally. He started his career as a networking engineer at Novell and HCL.

He also contributes to the CNCF xRegistry working group, helping define open standards for schema registries in event-driven systems.
