BIO
Peer is a Data & AI professional with more than 15 years of experience designing, building, and automating enterprise-scale analytics and data platform solutions across a wide range of industries. As Head of Engineering at Tabular Editor , he works at the intersection of semantic modeling, developer experience, and modern analytics engineering, helping shape the future of tooling and best practices for the data community.
Before joining Tabular Editor, Peer spent more than a decade at twoday/Kapacity as part of their Microsoft Fabric expert group, where he helped define scalable implementation patterns and engineering practices for Microsoft Fabric solutions. His work focused heavily on metadata-driven architectures, platform automation, CI/CD, multi-environment deployment strategies, and operational excellence for modern lakehouse and BI platforms.
Peer’s journey with Microsoft Fabric began in 2022 as part of the early private preview program for what was then known as Project Trident. Having followed the platform from its earliest stages, he has developed deep hands-on expertise in Fabric architecture, automation, governance, Git integration, deployment strategies, and end-to-end analytics engineering.
A strong advocate for automation and engineering-first data platforms, Peer is passionate about helping teams build scalable, maintainable, and production-ready solutions through code-driven approaches and DevOps principles. He is well known in the community for his technical deep dives, conference sessions, blogs, and open-source contributions focused on Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, CI/CD, and analytics engineering best practices.
Through his community work, speaking engagements, and technical content, Peer continues to help organizations and practitioners unlock the full potential of modern data platforms while bridging the gap between traditional BI and modern software engineering practices.
