Nakshathra Suresh is a cyber criminologist, entrepreneur, academic and public speaker. She is a internationally renowned, accoladed voice and advocate for digital, technology and artificial intelligence (AI) safety. As the only criminologist focusing on AI safety in Australia, Nakshathra is an actively sought out expert, with note to topics regarding cybercrime, technology-facilitated violence and how harm reduction principles need to be incorporated in new and emerging technologies. She is the co-founder of eiris, a safety technology consultancy that focuses on embedding safety-by-design principles in startup technologies. As an academic, she has also built Australia’s first criminology-backed cybersecurity course at the University of New South Wales.
