Tomáš Michálek is CTO at Resco, where he leads engineering on a mobile CRM platform used by field service, sales, and inspection teams across more than 90 countries.

He has spent 15 years building production software — starting as a developer, moving through architecture and engineering leadership, and accumulating a strong bias toward systems that work when conditions aren’t ideal. Before joining Resco, he led engineering on mobile software that had to operate reliably offline, at scale, in places with no connectivity. That experience shapes how he thinks about field software: the interesting problems are never in the demo.

His current focus is on the architectural decisions that separate software that survives production from software that survives a conference stage: sync engine design, offline conflict resolution, and grounding AI in field-specific data context rather than wrapping a generic model and calling it a feature.
